In essence Rosh Hashana is not a time of judgment and tshuva, but of coronating Hashem as our King. On Rosh Hashana Hashem renews the life force of the world, and reinvests Himself into our lives. Hashem gives us this time to allow us to clear ourselves of any corners within ourselves that are obstacles or deterrents of Him being able dwell within us- all corners of ourselves where we don’t allow Hashem in. Hashem gives us this opportunity out of His great love for us and desire to have a relationship with us. Our avoda of this time now is to clear ourselves of anything bad, to nullify ourselves before our King, and make room for Him to reveal Himself within us and within our lives.
